Description:
1857-O $2 1/2 AU58 NGC. This apricot-gold representative displays ample luster at the borders and on the eagle and portrait. Well struck aside from the eagle's leg feathers. Abrasions are minor and unworthy of comment save for a hair-thin diagonal line on the cheek. Only 34,000 pieces were struck.(Registry values: P2) (NGC ID# 25JE, PCGS# 7784)

The marketing was exceptional from the photos to the ads in Civil War Times and North South Trader for the cross over people!!! I have had many emails from my Civil War collecting fraternity that saw these and I saw them at the national show in Nashville/Franklin in early December.
