Description:
1861 $2 1/2 New Reverse, Type Two MS62 NGC. The slender arrow heads are well-separated, diagnostic of the new reverse hub that went into use in 1859. The transition period from the old hub to the new hub lasted until 1861, likely due to reuse of old reverse dies. This piece is fully brilliant with frosty yellow luster and delicate orange overtones.(Registry values: P2) (NGC ID# 25JX, PCGS# 7794)
