1861 $2 1/2 New Reverse, Type Two MS62 PCGS. The three year period from 1859 to 1861 was a transitional period for quarter eagles with two reverse hubs used. The Old Reverse had short and fat arrowheads and the New Reverse had long and slender arrowheads. This pleasing Mint State New Reverse quarter eagle has frosty yellow luster with minimal marks and sharp details.
