Premium Gem 1893 Quarter Eagle
Extremely Elusive in Higher Grades
1893 $2 1/2 MS66 NGC. The 1893 quarter eagle, from a mintage of 30,000 pieces, is extremely difficult to locate in the better Mint State grades. Rich satin luster and lovely yellow-gold color provide this well-struck Premium Gem with lovely eye appeal. Hints of green are also present. A small alloy spot appears in the open area between the eagle's wing and the AM in AMERICA. Census: 28 in 66 (1 in 66+), 5 finer (3/13).
