Description:
Outstanding, Superb 1911 Cent
1911 1C MS67 Red PCGS. The 1911 P-mint issue is readily available in all grades, including Gem Mint State. As indicated by population reports, however, the number of 1911-P Cents certified at the MS67 Red level or above drops significantly from that of the MS66 Red designation. The coin in the present lot represents a real opportunity for advanced Lincoln Cent collectors. This gorgeous piece possesses bright orange color with golden-yellow undertones. The design features are sharply struck, with excellent detail showing in Lincoln's hair, beard, and bow tie, and on the wheat stalks. The pristine surfaces are virtually free of any mentionable abrasions and most carbon spots. Population: 7 in 67, 1 finer (3/05).

Needless to say I was overwhelmed by the results of the auction and I truly believe it was Jill’s efforts in promoting and displaying the piece that brought in the extra value.
