Remarkable Gem 1925-S Dime With Full Bands1925-S 10C MS66 Full Bands PCGS. According to David Lange, the 1925-S Dime "holds the record for most poorly made date in the series. Both obverse and reverse are plagued by heavy die polishing and erosion and a generally weak strike throughout. This is especially noticeable around the reverse periphery." One would never know the preceding statement was true for the majority of '25-S Dimes from looking at this piece, though. The brilliant surfaces are highly lustrous and there is no evidence of any Mint-made problems. Smooth, shimmering, lustrous surfaces characterize this coin and there are no obvious or mentionable problems on either side. Population: 17 in 66, 4 finer (10/05).(Registry values: N4719) (NGC ID# 23HP, PCGS# 4953)
