1890-CC $1 MS64 PCGS. VAM-7....
1890-CC $1 MS64 PCGS. VAM-7. The 1890-CC is less available than its seven-figure mintage might suggest, and it is likely that a large number of examples were melted under the Pittman Act. This is an example of one of the varieties with the doubled CC, with this piece also displaying the die scratch in the top inside of the D in DOLLAR. Boldly struck and strongly lustrous. Areas of the surfaces are untoned, while other sections have hazy patina. Diagonal roller marks extend from the I in PLURIBUS, through Liberty's cap, to the U in UNUM.(Registry values: P5, N991) (NGC ID# 255D, PCGS# 7198)
