Description:
1893-CC Dollar, MS64
Well Struck, Lightly Toned
1893-CC $1 MS64 NGC. VAM-2. This die pair was later used to strike the 12 branch mint proofs that commemorated the reversion of the Carson City Mint to assay office status. This example might be designated as VAM-2A in the future, since the N in IN is clashed in front of Liberty's neck. Much better struck than the usual '93-CC, the present near-Gem offers dynamic luster, faint almond-gold toning, and smooth surfaces.(Registry values: P8, N2998) (NGC ID# 255S, PCGS# 7222)
