Description:
1893-CC Morgan Dollar, MS64
Vivid Multicolor Toning
1893-CC $1 MS64 PCGS. A meager mintage of 677,000 Morgan dollars was accomplished at the Carson City Mint in 1893, the last year of coining operations at that fabled facility. The issue was not heavily saved by contemporary numismatists, and the Mint State coins that did survive in bank and Treasury vaults usually exhibit extensive bag marks. This impressive Choice specimen displays well-detailed design elements and vibrant frosty mint luster. Vivid shades of blue, gray, and golden-brown toning enhance the well-preserved surfaces, with most of the color on the obverse. PCGS has graded only 11 numerically finer examples (3/13).(Registry values: P8, N2998) (NGC ID# 255S, PCGS# 7222)
