Description

Superb Gem 1921-D Morgan Dollar
None Finer at PCGS

1921-D $1 MS67 PCGS. CAC. Enormous numbers of Morgan silver dollars were struck at all three mints in 1921, after a hiatus of more than 15 years. The Denver Mint produced a whopping total of more than 20 million specimens, the first silver dollar mintage ever accomplished at that facility. As the huge mintage would suggest, the issue is easy to locate in most Mint State grades, but examples in MS67 condition are very rare.

This magnificent Superb Gem exhibits sharply detailed design elements, with pinpoint definition on the hair strands above the ear. The surfaces are incredibly well-preserved and they display a vivid patina of violet, gray, and gold hues that enhance the tremendous eye appeal. Population: 6 in 67, 0 finer (3/13).(Registry values: P3, N4719) (NGC ID# 256Y, PCGS# 7298)

Today I received the catalog which is a work of art unto itself. When I found my lot I was literally blown away by what Craig had done with the presentation....... quite amazing to say the least!
