Description:
Select Proof 1854 Pattern Large Cent, Judd-160
1854 P1C One Cent, Judd-160, Pollock-187, R.4, PR63 Brown PCGS. Judd-160 was part of an ongoing effort to reduce the size of the contemporary Large cent. Similar to the circulating cent in design, but there are no obverse stars, the wreath is reduced in scale, and the piece is lesser in diameter than the Large cent. Struck in copper or bronze with a plain edge. A somewhat glossy and minimally marked example. Even chocolate-brown surfaces overall. (PCGS# 11659)
