1855 Flying Eagle Cent, Judd-170, Pollock-196, R.6(?), ...
1855 E1C Flying Eagle Cent, Judd-170, Pollock-196, R.6(?), PR50 PCGS. A turkey-necked eagle flies west, while the reverse has a design similar to the contemporary Large Cent. An elusive pattern whose actual rarity is inconclusive because the design was struck in many different but similar compositions. There is a prominent scratch above the eagle. The reverse has a small lamination near the left side of the ribbon. The reverse is struck from a clashed die. Population: 1 in 50, 5 finer (1/02). (PCGS# 11732)
