1858 Flying Eagle Cent Pattern1858 P1C Flying Eagle Cent, Judd-192, Pollock-235, R.5, PR63 NGC. The obverse is the familiar Small Letters 1858 cent. The pattern reverse generally resembles the 1860 regular issue reverse, but there is no shield at the top and the wreath is closed. Struck in copper-nickel with a plain edge. The lighter tan-gold surfaces have a slight overlay of reddish patina. The strike is strong overall and there are a few small specks of carbon on each side. (PCGS# 11842)
