1858 Hook-Necked Flying Eagle Cent1858 P1C Flying Eagle Cent, Judd-202, Pollock-245, R.5, PR63 NGC. The hook-necked eagle obverse, usually attributed to Longacre, was paired with several reverses during the year. Judd-202 displays ONE CENT in a simple laurel wreath with clusters of six leaves. Struck in copper-nickel with a plain edge. This fully struck specimen is iridescently toned lime-green, rose-gold, and cherry-red along with a streak of deep lavender and cobalt-blue across the obverse. (PCGS# 11867)
