1858 Flying Eagle Cent Pattern Judd-202 Rare Six Leaf Clusters Variety1858 P1C Flying Eagle Cent, Judd-202, Pollock-246, PR64 NGC. Snow-PT20, R.7. Snow states, "A very rare pattern, probably no more than 10 struck in all. These were probably struck after the 6 leaf laurel wreath reverse was adopted in 1859." In other words, PT20 is likely a restrike from muled dies. The variety with six leaf clusters within the laurel wreath, which is much scarcer than the Pollock-245, Snow-PT19 five leaf clusters variety. Struck in copper-nickel with a plain edge. A lovely and well struck golden-brown piece with no relevant post-strike imperfections. (PCGS# 11867)
