Description

High Quality (PR64) 1858 Pattern Flying Eagle Cent, Judd-206

1858 P1C Flying Eagle Cent, Judd-206, Pollock-242, R.5, PR64 PCGS. The obverse is the same as that for the preceding two examples. The reverse is the die used to deliver regular issue 1858 Flying Eagle Cents. Struck in copper-nickel with a plain edge. This fully original specimen striking exhibits needle sharp definition in all areas. The fields are bright and moderately mirrored on both sides, but only the obverse reveals scattered die polish lines (as made) without a loupe. Delicate apricot tinting is seen here and there over otherwise medium tan features. (NGC ID# 29BM, PCGS# 11877)
