Description:
1858 Indian Cent, Judd-212, Pollock-256, PR62
1858 P1C Indian Cent, Judd-212, Pollock-256, R.4, PR62 PCGS. Snow-PT25. Centered Date, Broad Bust Point. The obverse die is that used to coin regular-issue Indian cents from 1860 through part of 1864, although the Centered Date, Broad Bust Point pieces are much more common than the R.7 Low Date, Narrow Bust Point pieces (Snow-PT32, Pollock-263). The reverse is the Oak Wreath, Ornamented Shield design. Struck in copper-nickel with a plain edge. This piece, certified in a green-label holder, has pretty tan surfaces with a bit of carbon on the reverse. (PCGS# 11895)
