Popular 1858 Indian Cent, Shield Reverse Judd-2121858 P1C Indian Cent, Judd-212, Pollock-263, R.4, PR63 NGC. Snow-PT25, Die Pair 1. Minute die doubling on the bases of RICA in AMERICA identifies this Broad Bust Point subvariety. The Indian Cent obverse, nearly as issued in 1859. The reverse features an oak wreath and an ornamented shield; ONE CENT as always arranged at the center. Struck in copper-nickel with a plain edge. Light golden-brown in color, this intricately struck example has flashy fields, and is impressive for the grade despite inconspicuous spots on the feather beneath the E in AMERICA and on the middle arrow head.
