Description:
1858 Indian Cent Pattern, Judd-213, Pollock-257
1858 P1C Indian Cent, Judd-213, Pollock-257, R.7, PR61 PCGS. Eagle Eye Photo Seal. The obverse design is similar to the regular 1859 Indian Cent, while the reverse design resembles the 1858 Flying Eagle Cent. Judd-213 is broken into four separate issues by Pollock, based upon the position of the wreath tip below the C in CENT and whether the bust tip is rounded or pointed. Pollock-257 is the rounded bust and short wreath tip variant. If our attributions have been correct, it has over eight years since we offered this variant. Dappled tan and steel-blue surfaces are a bit subdued and display scattered carbon flecks on the obverse. Eagle Eye certificate accompanies.(#11897) (PCGS# 11897)
