Description

Copper-Nickel 1859 Cent
Judd-226, PR63

1859 P1C Indian Cent, Judd-226, Pollock-270, High R.6, PR63 NGC. The oak wreath on the reverse is the same as the Judd-211 reverse, with ONE CENT inside. The obverse is the regular Indian Head cent die of the year. Struck in copper-nickel with a plain edge. The surfaces display vibrant mint luster, and each side has just enough lilac-gray intermixed with cherry-red to confirm the copper-nickel composition. The ends of the feathers on the headdress are a bit soft, but otherwise each side has minimal problems. (PCGS# 11928)
