Judd-237 1859 Half Dollar Pattern in Silver, PR641859 P50C Half Dollar, Judd-237, Pollock-293, R.4, PR64 PCGS. On the obverse Liberty faces right with laurel and vine in her hair. A ribbon below the bust is inscribed LIBERTY, with UNITED STATES OF AMERICA around, and the date below. The reverse has an agricultural wreath around the denomination HALF DOLLAR. The wreath contains various products of the nation's farmers, including corn, wheat, cotton, tobacco, and sugar cane. Struck in silver with a reeded edge. One of the more available early patterns, around 50 pieces are believed to exist of this design in silver. The fields are heavily striated and deeply mirrored on each side. The surfaces are mostly brilliant and problem-free with a light accent of toning around the obverse periphery.
