Glossy Copper Striking of the 1863 Ten Dollar Pattern, Judd-3521863 $10 Ten Dollar, Judd-352, Pollock-424, R.6, PR64 Brown PCGS. Similar to the adopted design for the ten dollar Liberty with the addition of the motto GOD OUR TRUST directly onto the field above the eagle's head. Struck in copper with a reeded edge. While the gold striking of this pattern is unique, approximately two dozen pieces are believed extant today in copper. This is a richly patinated piece that shows significant underlying red on the obverse and a couple of deeper shades of brown on the reverse. Glossy with a few tiny specks of carbon on each side.
