Description:
Very Popular 1863 Bronze Indian Cent Pattern, Judd-299
1863 1C One Cent, Judd-299, Pollock-359, R.3, PR64 Brown PCGS. Struck on regular issue dies, but with medal turn and on a bronze planchet instead of the usual copper-nickel alloy. We are unable to determine for certain because of the encapsulation, but this looks like a thin planchet piece. Mostly deep brown and blue, there are small portions of mint red still in evidence around some of the devices.(#60454) (PCGS# 60454)
