Iridescent Bronze 1863 Three Cent Piece, Judd-3191863 3C Three Cents, Judd-319, Pollock-384, R.5, PR64 Brown PCGS. The obverse is similar to the Braided Hair large cent design that the Mint discontinued in 1857, only with the substitution of a markedly smaller date. The reverse displays 3 CENTS in the center surrounded by a laurel wreath with UNITED STATES OF AMERICA about the border. Struck in bronze with a plain edge. A needle-sharp near-Gem with chocolate-brown patina that transforms into navy-blue color when the coin is rotated under a light. The reverse has a few tiny toning spots.
