1864 2C Two Cents, Judd-371, Pollock-440, Low R.6--Damaged--ANACS. PR60 Details. This pattern is produced from the regular Large Motto dies, but it is struck in copper-nickel as opposed to copper. The edge is plain. It is possible that these pieces were restrikes, but there is no conclusive evidence as to when and why they were struck. Mottled medium brown and orange-tan toning covers the reflective surfaces. A nearly imperceptible mark by the OF accounts for the "damaged" moniker, but it is possible that this is simply a planchet flaw. (PCGS# 60541)
