Desirable Transitional 1865 Motto Seated Dollar, PR64 Red and Brown PCGS, Judd-4351865 $1 One Dollar, Judd-435, Pollock-508, Low R.7, PR64 Red and Brown PCGS. The obverse die is the same as that of the regular issue 1865 Seated Liberty Dollar, while the reverse is that of the regular issue 1866 and 1867 Seated Dollars with the motto IN GOD WE TRUST on a scroll over the eagle. Struck in copper with a reeded edge. This important transitional pattern is similar in rarity to its Judd-434 silver alloy counterpart. An exquisitely struck near-Gem with dominating faded orange-red color, although the fields and highpoints offer gentle lilac hues. A few nearly invisible hairlines in the right obverse field and a couple of inconspicuous marks near the N in UNITED and the E in ONE are all that preclude a finer grade.(#60620) (PCGS# 60620)
