Description:
Copper Die Trials 1866 With Motto Seated Dollar, Judd-541
1866 $1 Dollar, Judd-541, Pollock-606, Low R.6, PR61 Brown NGC. The dies have the same designs as the regular issue 1866 With Motto Seated Liberty Dollar, but the coin is struck in copper with a reeded edge. This boldly struck piece has deep chocolate-brown patina. A faded small scrape below the F in OF prevents a higher grade, and the right obverse field has a couple of wispy pinscratches. (#60739) (PCGS# 60739)
