Elusive 1866 Pattern Nickel Struck in Copper, Judd-4621866 5C Five Cents, Judd-462, Pollock-536, R.7, PR64 Red and Brown PCGS. A Five Cent pattern featuring George Washington in profile, facing right, on the obverse. The reverse has the 5 of the denomination central on that side, surrounded by a laurel wreath. Struck in copper with a plain edge. The surfaces retain almost all of the original mint red from 1866 with just the slightest hint of brown present. A lovely Washington pattern.(#70657) (PCGS# 70657)
