1866 5C Five Cents, Judd-473, Pollock-564, R.6, PR65 PCGS.
Popular 1866 Washington Nickel Pattern, Judd-4731866 5C Five Cents, Judd-473, Pollock-564, R.6, PR65 PCGS. The obverse depicts a bust of Washington facing right with IN GOD WE TRUST above and the date below. The reverse is similar to that adopted for the 1866-1867 Shield nickel with rays between the stars. Struck in nickel with a plain edge. This is a well preserved example of this popular pattern. The surfaces are bright and silvery with deeply mirrored fields on each side. The devices also show a moderate amount of frost, which gives the coin considerable contrast on each side.(#60669) (PCGS# 60669)
