Description:
1868 1C One Cent, Judd-605, Pollock-670, R.5, PR62 PCGS. A diminutive pattern cent with an obverse similar to the adopted three cent nickel design, and a reverse with a large Roman numeral I in the center surrounded by a wreath. Struck in nickel with a plain edge. These are relatively common patterns that were issued in sets along with the three cent and five cent patterns of the same design. The 1 in the date is lightly repunched. A well struck dove-gray piece that is clean for the assigned grade. (#60817) (PCGS# 60817)
