1868 Cent Pattern, Judd-608, PR641868 1C One Cent, Judd-608, Pollock-673, R.4, PR64 NGC. On the obverse, Liberty is wearing a coronet inscribed LIBERTY. Around, the legend UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and below, the date. The reverse has a large Roman numeral I enclosed within a wreath of wheat, corn, tobacco, and cotton. Struck in nickel with a plain edge. This is Pollock's centered date variety, that can be secondarily attributed by the Y in LIBERTY positioned further from the hair. Nicely mirrored with a faint overlay of frost on the devices. Each side shows streaky golden-rose toning.
