1869 10C J-720
1869 Seated Dime in Nickel, Judd-7201869 Ten Cents, Judd-720, Pollock-801, R.7, PR 64 PCGS. A regular dies trial striking, and struck from the same reverse die as are all the other regular reverse patterns, 1864-1874, in this sale. Produced in nickel with a reeded edge. The surfaces are very well mirrored beneath a thin layer of milky patina and, on the wreath, suffer from the bluntness that is often associated with this contemporarily new and extremely hard coinage metal.
From the Gene Wolfe Collection of Pattern Coinage. (PCGS# 60947)
