Description:
Splendidly Toned 1869 Standard Silver Half, Judd-742
1869 50C Standard Silver Half Dollar, Judd-742, Pollock-823, R.5, PR62 NGC. This Standard Silver entry features Liberty wearing a cap ornamented with two stars. The ribbon exhibits William Barber's initial. Struck in silver with a reeded edge. This is a gorgeously toned specimen. Powder-blue, golden-brown, and plum patina consumes both sides. The strike is exacting, and a few light hairlines on the central reverse are unimportant for the grade. (PCGS# 60969)
