Description

Expertly Preserved and Attractive 1870 Pattern Dollar, Judd-1004, PR66 Brown NGC

1870 $1 Dollar, Judd-1004, Pollock-1136, R.7, PR66 Brown NGC. Liberty is seated left on the obverse with a upright shield supported by her right hand and a olive branch in her left hand. Thirteen stars are arranged around the border, the date 1870 is below. The reverse is the same used to coin regular issue 1870 Seated Dollars. Struck in copper with a reeded edge. A gorgeous specimen to behold, the glossy textured, reddish-brown surfaces reveal a few swirls of lighter toning at the lower left reverse border. The fully brought up features are backlit by lilac and electric-blue undertones that further accent the all but blemish-free sheen. (PCGS# 61251)
