Cameo Proof 1870 Judd-951 Standard Silver Half Dollar1870 50C Standard Silver Half Dollar, Judd-951, Pollock-1094, R.5, PR63 PCGS. Ex: H.W. Bass, Jr. Standard Silver Design B: Liberty wears a diadem inscribed LIBERTY with her hair tied in a bun as more fully described for Judd-702. The reverse carries the denomination and date inside a wreath of corn and cotton with STANDARD above. Struck in silver with a reeded edge. A fully brilliant obverse with deeply mirrored fields and lustrous devices contrasts with pale gray-gold color on the reverse. This piece may deserve review by PCGS for a Cameo designation.
