Lovely Proof 1870 Judd-957 Pattern Half Dollar1870 50C Standard Silver Half Dollar, Judd-957, Pollock-1108, R.5, PR63 PCGS. Standard Silver Design C: Liberty wears a headband inscribed LIBERTY with her hair tied in a bun as more fully described for Judd-708. The reverse carries the denomination and date inside a wreath of corn and cotton with STANDARD above. Struck in silver with a reeded edge. This is a wonderful proof, with only a few grade limiting hairlines or contact marks. Both sides have impressive bright silver surfaces with exceptional cameo contrast.
