Copper 1871 Indian Princess Dollar

1871 $1 One Dollar, Judd-1148, Pollock-1290, Low R.7, PR66 Red and Brown NGC. CAC. James Longacre's design (as implemented by William Barber) features Liberty seated next to a globe with a feathered bonnet, flags behind, and a staff in her hand with a cap at the end. There are 13 stars around the periphery and 22 stars on the flag. The regular Seated Liberty reverse die is used. Struck in copper with a plain edge. This fully struck specimen displays rich peach-gold, cherry-red, powder-blue, and jade-green patina. Pristine aside from occasional pinpoint carbon and a small reverse rim nick at 6:30.
