Golden-Brown 1871 Pattern Half Struck in Copper, Judd-1122
1871 50C Standard Silver Half Dollar, Judd-1112, Pollock-1248, R.7, PR65 Brown NGC. Liberty is seated and faces left. She supports a Liberty pole with one hand, while the other rests on a globe inscribed LIBERTY. Behind her are two partially concealed flags. The reverse has 50 CENTS centered high inside a wreath of corn and cotton, with STANDARD above. Struck in copper with a reeded edge. This golden-brown specimen reveals iridescent olive and ruby-red hues when it is rotated under a light. A well struck and splendidly preserved Gem.(#61371) (PCGS# 61371)
