1871 5C Five Cents, Judd-1053, Pollock-1188, R.6, PR64 NGC. The obverse features a Liberty head reminiscent of that on the regular issue Three Cent Nickel, while the reverse has a large laurel wreath. Struck in nickel with a plain edge. The centers are not fully struck, although the borders are boldly defined. The reverse field has a few faint slide marks near the 5. A heavy die crack (as made) connects the obverse legend and date.
