Popular Five Cent Pattern, Judd-1054
1871 5C Five Cents, Judd-1054, Pollock-1189, R.6, PR63 Red and Brown PCGS. The obverse is similar to the adopted three cent nickel design, while the reverse has 5 CENTS in the center and is surrounded by a laurel wreath. Struck in copper with a plain edge. A common pattern and a popular five cent design variant. The bright fields retain a fair amount of original mint red with blue and sea-green iridescence scattered around the devices and peripheries.(#71313) (PCGS# 71313)
