Originally and Carefully Preserved 1871 Pattern Half Dime, PR65 PCGS1871 H10C Half Dime, Judd-1062, Pollock-1197, R.7, PR65 PCGS. Longacre's Indian Princess design with Liberty seated and wearing an Indian headdress, one hand resting on a globe, the other holding a Liberty Pole, with conjoined flags behind. The reverse is the regular issue design for Liberty Seated half dimes. Struck in silver with a reeded edge. Rich antique-gold toning yields to cobalt-blue shadings around the devices and golden-orange iridescence toward the rims. Sharply struck with shimmering fields, this obviously original Gem is free of noticeable distractions. Population: 1 in 65, there are none finer (10/02).
