Lovely Proof 1871 Judd-1069 Half Dime Pattern1871 H10C Half Dime, Judd-1069, Pollock-1205, R.7. PR64 Brown PCGS. James Longacre's "Indian Princess" design features Liberty facing left, wearing an Indian Headdress. Her right hand supports a pole topped by a Liberty Cap, and her left hand rests on a globe that is inscribed LIBERTY. Two flags behind Liberty are draped down behind the globe. The field has 13 stars around with the date below. The reverse is from the regular production half dime die that was first introduced in 1860. Struck in copper with a reeded edge. This example has lovely olive-brown color with reflective mirrored fields and iridescent toning. Approximately half a dozen of these pattern half dimes are known.(#61328) (PCGS# 61328)
