Choice Proof 1873 Judd-1276 Trade Dollar Pattern1873 $1 Coronet Head Trade Dollar, Judd-1276, Pollock-1418, R.5, PR64 PCGS. A bust of Liberty faces left with her hair tied in a bun, wearing a beaded coronet inscribed LIBERTY. Along the border are 13 stars with the date below. An olive wreath on the reverse is tied at the bottom with a ribbon inscribed IN GOD WE TRUST. Inside the wreath is the denomination and composition: TRADE DOLLAR 420 GRAINS, 900 FINE. The statutory legend UNITED STATES OF AMERICA is placed along the upper border outside the wreath. Struck in silver with a reeded edge. This delightful proof has fully mirrored fields that are enhanced by light gold toning on the obverse and peripheral sea-green color on both sides.
