Toned Proof 1873 Judd-1293 Trade Dollar Pattern1873 T$1 Trade Dollar, Judd-1293, Pollock-1435, R.4, PR62 PCGS. Liberty strikes a similar pose to the adopted design, seated and facing left, but her left hand rests on a globe and her right hand is holding a staff. There are bales of cotton and a sheaf of wheat nearby. The reverse has a smallish, upright eagle grasping a shield in its right (facing) claws. Struck in silver with a reeded edge. Both sides have natural and lovely medium gray surfaces with considerable gold toning on the obverse and deeper blue on the reverse. The fields have considerable luster that provide a light cameo presentation. The grade is limited by light hairlines on each side. (PCGS# 61578)
