1873 T$1 Trade Dollar, Judd-1293, Pollock-1435, R.4, PR63 NGC....
1873 Trade Dollar Pattern, Judd-1293, PR631873 T$1 Trade Dollar, Judd-1293, Pollock-1435, R.4, PR63 NGC. The design is similar to the issued Trade dollar, but Liberty's left hand rests on a globe, her right hand holds a staff, and plow handles sprout from behind the globe. On the reverse, the eagle clutches in its beak the banner bearing E PLURIBUS UNUM, while also holding a Federal shield in place of the usual olive branch. Struck in silver with a reeded edge. This is an attractive piece for the grade. The mirrored fields flash strongly through the scattered gray-rose toning seen on each side.
