Elusive Pattern 1875 Ten, Judd-14461875 $10 Ten Dollar, Judd-1446, Pollock-1591, R.7-8, PR66 Red and Brown PCGS. Regular die trials striking of the 1875 Eagle, struck in copper with a reeded edge. Rich orange-red luster is overlaid in warm glossy-brown patina. Splendid electric-blue and pink undertones are evident at certain angles, the devices are fully brought up in all areas. There are no distracting hairlines or contact marks on either side of this exquisite Gem. One of only four examples listed by Pollock in his 1994 reference on patterns, and identifiable by a small carbon spot in the reverse field above the eagle's right (facing) wing.
