1875 20C Twenty Cents, Judd-1407, Pollock-1550, R.6, PR64 ...
Flashy, Attractively Toned 1/5 OF A DOLLAR Pattern, Judd-14071875 20C Twenty Cents, Judd-1407, Pollock-1550, R.6, PR64 PCGS. The obverse is nearly identical to the adopted design, but LIBERTY is incused rather than raised as on the regular issue coins. The reverse is recognized as the popular 1/5 OF A DOLLAR design. Struck in silver with a plain edge. Just over a dozen pieces are known of this pattern. This is a deeply mirrored example that has rich golden-rose toning scattered in an irregular fashion over each side, but much of the original brilliance still shines through and the reflectivity in the fields enlivens the coloration even more.(#61714) (PCGS# 61714)
