Elusive 1877 Morgan Ten Dollar in Copper, Judd-15451877 $10 Ten Dollar, Judd-1545, Pollock-1718, R.7, PR64 Red and Brown PCGS. A bust of Liberty after the familiar George Morgan design faces left on the obverse with E PLURIBUS UNUM around the periphery and the date 1878 below. Liberty wears a Phrygian cap inscribed with LIBERTY. The eagle on the reverse is similar to that used on the regular issue Morgan dollar with the denomination TEN DOL. at the bottom. Struck in copper, as are all of this design dated 1877, with a reeded edge. This specimen displays rich sunset-orange coloration with bluish highlights. (PCGS# 71889)
