Pleasing Pattern Goloid Metric Dollar, Judd-1631, Proof 651879 $1 Goloid Metric Dollar, Judd-1631, Pollock-1828, Low R.7, PR65 NGC. George Morgan's design for a goloid metric dollar with the bust of Liberty facing left on the obverse, hair braided and coiled at the back of her head, E PLURIBUS UNUM above and the date below with stars on the left and right side. On the reverse, the elemental components are central to that side and surrounded by a small circle of stars, and two other circles of statutory requirements between the stars and the rim. Struck in goloid alloy (5% gold, 85% silver, 10% copper) with a reeded edge. The fields are deeply mirrored and there is just the slightest mellowing of the golden tinged, silver-gray luster. A pleasing example of this very scarce goloid pattern. (PCGS# 62009)
