Toned PR67 NGC 1879 Washlady Quarter Pattern, Judd-15901879 25C Washlady Quarter Dollar, Judd-1590, Pollock-1783, R.6, PR67 NGC. Barber's "Washlady" design. The head of Liberty faces left with the motto IN GOD WE TRUST above and 1879 below. She is wearing a headband inscribed LIBERTY. The headband is ornamented with ears of wheat, cotton leaves, and bolls. There are 13 stars at the border arranged 7 left and 6 right. This is paired with a reverse that has an upright eagle with spread wings holding an olive branch in its right talon and three arrows in its left. Above is the legend UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and the motto E PLURIBUS UNUM, below is the denomination QUAR. DOLLAR. Struck in silver with a reeded edge. Both sides are richly toned in antique-copper shades that yield to bright rainbow colored undertones at direct angles. A fully original Superb Gem with shimmering reflectivity evident as the coin rotates under the light.
